I spent so much time writing the lyrics for this song.
It’s a story about a woman whose love was taken away from her.
But she doesn’t realize it was taken — she’s made to believe that it was her own choice.

This is a song about a victim who was gaslit into thinking she was still in control.
It’s about someone reaching out one last time before she gives up.

She already knows what she’s going to do soon, but she doesn’t want to tell him.
The only thing she worries about is whether he’ll be okay — somehow.
So, she forces a promise out of him.
